Shelley Ann Bledsoe
Sep. 23, 1954 - Sep 24, 2024It is with deep sadness that we
announce the passing of our beloved mother, Shelley Ann Bledsoe, who
passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, just one day
after her 70th birthday, Born on September 23, 1954, in Lufkin, Texas,
she grew up in Dallas, Texas and later moved to Carrollton, Texas.
Shelley and her husband, David Eugene Bledsoe were married almost 47
years, raising three children Ashleigh Renee Bledsoe, Jacob David
Bledsoe, and Sarah Ann Bledsoe. Born to Charles Thomas and Dorothy Mae
Sultzbaugh, Shelley was the youngest of four. Shelley grew up in Farmers
Branch, Texas after the family relocated to Dallas from Lufkin. She
graduated from R.L. Turner High School in 1972 and went on to college at
Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where she graduated with a
marketing degree. Shelley married the love of her life, David on April
15, 1978 and settled in Carrollton, Texas where they decided to raise
their family. Shelley was a kind and generous soul, always putting
others’ needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all
those who knew her, and she will be remembered for her infectious smile
and warm personality. Shelley lived a fulfilling life full of laughter,
family, and love. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, gardening, family &
friends and enjoying her backyard.
She is survived by her husband David Eugene Bledsoe; daughters Ashleigh
Renee Bledsoe and Sarah Ann Bledsoe; son Jacob David Bledsoe; son-in-law
Christopher Martinez; daughter-in-law Tiffany Bledsoe; soon to be
son-in-law Jonathan Petty; and two grandchildren, Hadley Kaye Bledsoe
and Hendrix Mayes Martinez who will miss her dearly; sister Pamela Kay
Parr Batts; brothers William Thomas Sultzbaugh and Eric Anton Sultzbaugh;
sisters-in-laws Jackie Sultzbaugh and Sharon Carr; nieces Nicole Biggs,
Stephanie Carrizales, Heather Sultzbaugh, Taylor and Tamsyn Sultzbaugh;
nephews Alden and Evan Sultzbaugh; and several extended family and
friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October
11th at 10:30am at Restland Funeral Home (13005 S. Greenville Ave
Dallas, Texas 75243) in the Wildwood Chapel with a reception to follow.
Shelley will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Rest in peace, our
dear wife, mother, sister, and friend. |
