The Life and Legacy of Mildred Louise Boenker Beloved Grandmother, Mother, Aunt, and Friend
Mildred Louise Boenker, 93, was born in Lebanon, Texas on March 27, 1928 to Clarence Edward Chumley and Mary Ellen Denison. She was the 2nd of three children between Clarence and Mary. Mildred married John Howard Brown in 1946 and together had Ronnie, Danny, and Alan. They later divorced, and she married Albert Boenker in 1967. The couple resided in Lewisville and together they had Cheryl.

Mildred worked briefly at Texas Envelope when her boys were younger. Later she became a stay at home mom to raise her children. and at times, her beloved grandchildren and grandnieces. Grandmother or Aunt Mildred as she was lovingly called, was known as providing a safe haven for many of her family members. Growing up on College Street all the cousins had fond memories that they all love to share when they are together. Grandmother was a “real pistol” and always had the best stories to tell about all her babies! One of her favorites was the story of a ladybug that lost its life prematurely at the hands of her sweet little Andy after it would not stay in the garden! She was always so tickled recalling it!

She passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father Wednesday; March 23, 2022 of natural causes surrounded by her family. She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Ronnie Brown; Danny Brown and his wife Kathy; Alan Brown and his wife Susie; and beloved daughter Cheryl Boenker; grandchildren, Eric, Tim, Andy, Chris, Jeremy, Spencer, Roe and Emily Brown; great grandchildren Taylor, Addison, Daxton, Skylar, Jonah and Jennifer Brown, Meagan Pelster and Chasitie Foster. Also grandnieces, Jina Nicholas, Eva Sombathy, and Kristi Rivera; great grandnieces/nephews, Jessica Stapleton, Jaime Parker, Noah & Timothy Sombathy, Corey Ainsworth, Dakota McBride, Ashley Taylor, Preston, Tyler, and Zac Rivera, Heather & Joshua Clark, and Meghan Dillon as well as a host of many other extended family. Loving family members who preceded her in death: parents, Clarence Chumley and Mary Denison Chumley; husbands, John Howard Brown, and Albert Boenker; siblings, Laneva James and Billie Russell; niece, Mary James; grandniece, Neva Clark, and great grand daughter, Jennifer Brown.

Mildred, a friend to all, was the matriarch of the family and commanded a quiet respect from all that knew her. One of Grandmother’s favorite past times was garage sale shopping and then stopping off at the local Sonic for her Route 44 unsweet tea with two Splendas. Heaven help us if we forgot those two Splendas! Mildred saw the love of Christ through her family and was blessed to have her son Danny and his wife Kathy, grandson Andy and wife Tonya, great granddaughter Taylor and grandniece Jina by her side at the end of her life. She was never alone. We love you and will miss you our precious Grandmother, Mother, Aunt, and Friend.
