OBITUARY
Max Bowden, Sr.
OAK POINT – Max Harold Bowden, Sr. 69, of Oak Point died Wednesday, Oct
18, 2006, at his residence. He was born on April 12, 1937, in Kemp to
Claude William and Rebecca Monteen Greenlee Bowden. He married Linda
Marie Curtis on Feb. 13, 1959, in Farmers Branch. He was a welder.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m. at Slay
Memorial Funeral Center Chapel with Rev. Dave Cummings officiating;
burial will follow at Little Elm Cemetery. Visitation will be held
Friday, Oct. 20, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will
be Danny Greenlee, Jacob Shelton, Cyle Jones, Graham Brewer, Cliff
Hollifield and Sammy Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Cotton Houser and
Johnny Henson.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Max Harold Bowden, Jr., and one
daughter Charna Bowden, both of Oak Point. He is also survived by five
grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Slay Memorial Funeral Center in
Aubrey.
