OBITUARY
 
JOHNNIE MAC BOWLING SR
77. Born March 8, 1928, passed away in Carrollton on Feb. 9, 2006. Johnnie was born in Carrollton, raised in Carrollton and Coppell and resided in Carrollton for over 60 years. He was a mechanic for Braniff for some 20 years and retired after 14 yrs of service with the Dallas Sheriff Dept. in 1993. Johnnie was an avid hunter, fisherman and had a green thumb for gardening. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and husband. After his retirement, he was the primary caretaker for his late wife, Ruby Joyce until her passing in 2003. He is survived by his 2 sons, Johnnie Mac Bowling, Jr. of Sanger, TX and Ronald Ray Bowling of Clearfield, PA, 1 step daughter, Sharon Gayle Martin of Carrollton, 2 step sons, Donald Joe Martin of The Colony, and James Dean Martin of Carrollton, 2 brothers, Mark T. Bowling of Farmers Branch, TX, Arlie Bowling of Lindale, TX, Teddy Bowling of Shallowett, NC, 2 sisters, Patsy Ann Bowling of Farmers Branch and Jennie Lee Duke of Pasadena, TX. 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be officiated by Dr. Carey Crawford of Webb Chapel Baptist Church inf Farmers Branch on Monday, February 13, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Sparkman Funeral Home, 1029 S. Greenville Ave., Richardson, TX. Family will be received visitors on Saturday, February 11, 2006 from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be at Restland Memorial Park following services.
