WEDDING
Williams-Brewer Vows taken Nov. 29 In Garland
Miss Roberta Williams and gene S. Brewer were united in marriage November
29 at the home of her twin brother, Robert Williams in Garland. The Rev.
W. E. Nations performed the ceremony.
The bride chose a ballerina-length wedding gown of imported Chantilly lace. The
closely molded basque bodice was designed with a scooped neckline trimmed with
natural scallops and long pointed sleeves. The bouffant skirt was also finished
in natural lace scallops. The bridal veil was finger-tip with pearl encrusted
tiara.
Nuptial music was presented by Mrs. Colleen Karr, organist.
Honor attendants were Miss Jane Grimes of Midland and G. W. Warden of Hobbs N.
Mex.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Williams, Sr. of Carrollton, and
Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Clarnal of Hobbs. N. Mex.
The former Miss Williams, who is a graduate of Decatur Baptist College, attended
Hardin-Simmons University.
The bridegroom, a graduate of Hobbs High School, is employed by Trend
Construction Co. near Greenville, where the couple are making their home

Obituary of Roberta Merle Brewer

Roberta Merle Brewer of Arlington, Texas passed away on February 26th,
2020 surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Hamilton, Texas on March
17, 1932 and baptized at Hebron Baptist Church at the age of 18. Roberta
graduated from Carrollton High School and attended Hardin Simmons
University and Decatur Baptist College.
She was married to Gene Stewart Brewer on November 29th, 1962.
Roberta worked as a Homemaker much of her life, and as a Library and
Teacher’s Assistant for the Arlington ISD.
She was a member of Meadow Lane Baptist Church for more than 50 years
and had a passion for teaching children, reading her Bible, and serving
the Lord.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on March 4th, 2020 at Meadow
Lane Baptist Church followed by Interment at Moore Memorial Gardens. Dr.
Ron Danley will officiate. |
