OBITUARY
Brock, Roy Clinton
Roy
Clinton Brock, 69, went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2011 in
Dallas, TX. Service: 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 20 at First Baptist
Church in Coppell. Interment to follow at Rolling Oaks Memorial Center
in Coppell. Visitation: 6 - 8 P.M. Wed. January 19 at the funeral home.
Roy was a resident of Coppell for 29 years before moving to Pilot Point.
He graduated from Carrollton High School and attended University of
North Texas. Roy started as a carrier in 1956 for Dallas Times Herald.
Retiring as the circulation division manager in 1985, he left to have a
more active role in Carmen Custom Homes. He was one of the first custom
home builders in Coppell. Roy was on the Coppell City Council for three
years, Coppell School Board for eleven years and coached girls softball.
He ran the clock at the Coppell High School football games for over
thirty years. The Roy C. Brock center in Coppell was named after him.
Roy was a man of faith, who loved his family dearly; his grandchildren
were his pride and joy. Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Heston
and Phoebe Brock. He is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Lynn
Clements Brock; children, Melinda Street and husband Jim; Sheila Cole
and husband Karl; Clint Brock and wife Amy; sister, Shirley Davis and
husband Bill; eight wonderful grandchildren and numerous other loving
relatives and friends. |
