POTTSBORO - James H. Bronaugh, 89, of Pottsboro passed away on Saturday, June
22, 2013. He was born on Feb. 23, 1924 to James O. and Lucille Lowery Bronaugh
in Limestone County, Prairie Hill, Texas. He graduated from Prairie Hill High
School and earned his bachelors and masters degree in education from North Texas
State University. Jim married Carolyn Campbell Reneau on Sept. 1, 1977 in
Groesbeck, and was a retired teacher, coach and principal from Hillsboro,
Lewisville and Carrollton schools. Mr. Bronaugh was an Army Air Corps veteran
that served in
World War II, and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Denison.
He is survived by his wife ,Carolyn of Pottsboro; sons, Jim (Patty) Bronaugh of
Lewisville, Tommy (Sharon) Bronaugh of Dallas, Bobby (Sherry) Bronaugh of
Carrollton and John (Debbie) Reneau of Plano; daughter, Julie Reneau of Grand
Prairie; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John W. Bronaugh.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the Dallas
Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy , Dallas, TX 75211.
Family Visitation will be held at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison from 6
-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Cooper, Don Longpre, Bill Herring, Reuben
Chambers, Roy Hale, Gorlyn Bronstad, and members of the Grace Lutheran Church
Men's Club.
