OBITUARY

Danny Brown
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Waxahachie Funeral Home on Feb. 5, 2024.
Danny Joe Brown, 72, was born in Dallas, Texas on May 28th, 1951 to Howard and Mildred Brown. He was the 2nd of three children between Ronnie and Alan. At the time of his death, he lived with his wife Kathy in Palmer, TX.
Danny was drafted into the army at the ripe age of 18. His draft number was 9 and he was on the first bus to military boot camp. Shortly after, he was stationed in Germany where he served as a diesel mechanic on tanks and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. After serving his country, he pursued a career as a field engineer for Hewlett-Packard.
When he was not providing for his family, he loved to bowl and once scored 299. Danny loved listening to "good" music, mainly the Beatles. He enjoyed watching all types of sports, especially golf and football (Go Cowboys!). Danny loved to collect Beatles memorabilia, baseball caps and penguins.
He passed into the arms of our Heavenly Father surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 1st, 2024 after a tough battle with cancer. He lives on through the legacy of his family: his wife, Kathy; his children, Tim, Andy and his wife Tonya, Chris and his wife Brooke, Jeremy and his wife Jaimi, and Emily; grandchildren Megan, Chastity, Daxton, Skylar, Taylor, Addison, Jonah, and Jennifer Brown. He is also survived by extended family and great-grandchildren. Loving family who preceded him in death: parents, Howard Brown and Mildred Boenker, and daughter Jennifer Brown.
Remembered for his big smile and sense of humor, Danny brought joy and laughter in every room he walked into. One of Danny's favorite pranks was asking for help unclogging a prank soap bottle and then spraying string all over the unwitting victim. Danny saw the love of Christ through his family and was blessed to have his wife Kathy, son Andy and his wife Tonya, and daughter Emily with him at the time of his passing. We love you and will miss you Dad, Husband, Papa Brown, and Friend.
