Eris Genevieve Buckalew
Birth Date: January 6, 1924
Death Date: May 25, 2016

Eris Genevieve Buckalew, born January 6, 1924 in Montgomery, West Virginia to Ward and Mabel Johnson, went peacefully home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2016. Ginger was a school teacher for over 30 years, most of which she taught in the Math Department of R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton. She was a member of Northway Baptist Church for over 50 years and spent a great deal of time serving others in the community. She had 4 children, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Ginger was preceded in death by her parents; husband Orlen O. Buckalew; children Debra Phillips and Ward Buckalew; and son-in-law Jim Phillips. She is survived by her daughter Rita Morrow and husband Michael; son Stewart Buckalew; grandchildren Paula, Derek, Rob, Beth, Despina, Alex and Max; their spouses Mike Alexander, Hela Morrow, and Jim Sandstedt; great-granddaughters Rebekah, Emily, Grace, Kaitlyn, Anabelle, Katelynn, Alexandra and Victoria; and great-great grandson Silas. Graveside Service for Ginger will be Saturday, June 18, 2016, 2 PM at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
