GARY
D. BURKHAM
October 10, 1964 - APRIL 8, 2023Gary D. Burkham passed away
suddenly in his home on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at the age of 58.
Gary was born on October 10, 1964 to
William “Bill” and Dorothy
Burkham in Dallas, TX. He and his former wife, Diane, raised two
children together.
Gary worked his way through the HVAC Industry to become the proud owner
of Burkham’s A/C & Heating where he was well-known for his talents in
installing and maintaining HVAC systems. He was known for swapping
trades and never turned down a job that was available.
While Gary left us far too soon, the impact he had on the kids he
coached throughout his life will be felt for many years to come. Gary
not only served as a Coach for the Farmers Branch Bombers Youth Football
League, but he also spent several years serving as President of the
Board as well. Many hours were spent on and off the field with kids who
loved him so much as their Coach. His passion for coaching football has
many of the kids saying he was one of their best coaches ever. He loved
his time serving the community of kids who were a part of the Bomber
Family.
Gary was also a Bowling enthusiast. He could spend every night of the
week at the bowling alley if he had been given the chance. He started
bowling at a young age and grew into an awesome Bowler. Gary had won
various prizes such as money, bowling balls, trophies, plaques, etc. He
bowled several 300-perfect games during his tenure of bowling. He was a
member of the SASBA Senior Bowling Association and bowled in various
leagues at JB Allen Bowl.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Burkham and
granddaughter, Mia Abigail Reyes.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Burkham; his daughter Brandy Reyes
and her husband Alex; his son Brandon Burkham and his wife Katrina; One
sister Sherry Dodd; Two brothers, Robert Burkham and his wife Christina,
and Michael Burkham and his wife Lisa; His grandchildren Peyton Reyes,
Mason Burkham, Charli Burkham, Jordan Hudson and Chase Hudson; His best
friend Melissa Blizzard; And many nieces and nephews. |
