Arthur Clay Butler, 81, of Byhalia, died Jan. 29, 2019, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice in Collierville, Tenn. The widower of Alma Taylor Butler, he was a sheriff and in law enforcement, and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Graveside services were held at 12 p.m. on Feb. 1 in Barton Methodist Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves a daughter, Cindy Butler Putt (James) of Byhalia; three sons, Tony Butler, Barry Butler, and Ted Butler, all of North Carolina; two sisters, Barbara Butler, Sarah Butler; and 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
