OBITUARY

CARLOY, A.L.
Sept 15, 1929 - July 18, 2007

A. L. Carloy entered into the loving arms of Jesus and eternal life on Wednesday, July 18, 2007. Born in Carrollton, Texas, on September 15, 1929, he was a resident of Denton, Texas, for many years.  During the Korean War, he served in the Navy on Destroyer Lloyd Thomas from 1947 through 1951.  He was employed by the Dallas Fire Department for 30 years from December 16, 1952, through January 4, 1982. He enjoyed dove hunting with his son, Kerry, for over 30 years, supported the Dallas Cowboys, and  loved the game. As a resident of Lakewood Estates on a corner lot he was appreciated by his neighbors as the "unofficial watch patrol." He will be remembered for his friendliness and his generosity to others.

Mr. Carloy is survived by his children, Kerry Carloy and wife, Janis of Carrollton, and Margie Doerler and husband, Wayne, of  Coppell; grandchildren, Sarah Ellard, Emily Ellard and Chris Carloy; great-grandchild, Emma Grace Palmquist; and sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Al Bute of Carrollton.
