OBITUARY
 
CELESTE MICHELE Age 46, of Carrollton, TX died January 16, 2008 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Celeste was born September 23, 1961 to L. Michael Glick M.D. and Gina M. Glick M.D. in Cumberland, MD. She graduated from Bishop Walsh High School in Cumberland, MD and attended Catholic University of America in Washington DC where she obtained her Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering with honors. After graduation, she moved to Dallas, Texas where she was employed by Texas Instrument for almost 2 years. There she met and married Douglas R. Carroll, also an electrical engineer. Soon thereafter, Doug pursued a career as a Naval aviator which entailed duty around the country including Texas, Florida, Mississippi, and Washington state. Over the next 10 years, they were blessed with 3 children; Caitlin, age 20, Ryan age 18, and Dylan age 16 with each being born in different states. In 1997, she moved to Carrollton, Texas and enrolled at the University of North Texas to pursue a masters degree in Mathematics and a Teaching Certificate. She graduated with honors, and for the past 5 years Celeste enjoyed her new career as a Math teacher at Newman Smith High School in Carrollton up until the time of her death. She is survived by her mother Gina Glick, brother Mark Glick of Dallas, Texas; sister Felicia Glick-Oberwise of Vernon Hills IL; and brother Matthew Glick, D.O. of Kaufman, Texas. A prayer vigil service will be held in Dallas, Texas at St Monicas Catholic Church, located on the corner of Walnut Hill Lane & Midway Road at 7 pm, Friday, January 25, 2008. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St Monicas Church at noon on Saturday, January 26, 2008. In lieu of flowers and gifts, please make contributions in her name to the Breast Cancer Prevention Institute, an organization supporting pro-life values.
