OBITUARY

CHAMBLESS
Evah Wilson, 92, died Feb. 20, 2000 in OKC. Born May 25, 1907 at Welty, OK to J.B. and Cora Wilson. Preceding her in death are her parents; one daughter, Elaine Williams; one sister, Ruth Stangl McCaull of Okeene; two half-sisters, Etta Vanderslice of Okemah and Elsie Wiles of Tulsa; Survivors include her daugher, Jon Evah Murray and husband Jerrel; five grandsons, Andrew Murray, OKC, Randall Murray, San Francisco, CA, Kenneth Williams, Poteau, OK, Robert and David Williams, both of Newton, TX; one granddaughter, Anita Williams Dorey, Camden, AR; nine great-grandsons and three great-great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews; She retiried from teaching Carrollton, TX Public Schools in 1973 and moved back to OKC in 1975. She atte4nded Lambuth Memorial United Methodist Chruch and accompanied the choir for several years in later life. Earlier she was employed in the secretarial and music field, both in churches and in her home.  She was a very talented musician who earned two teaching degrees from North Texas State College and taught in Carrollton, TX Public Schools for 15 years. The casket will be open for viewing until service time. Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000 at the Baggerley-South Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.|
