OBITUARY
JAMES OSCAR (Chuck) CHESHIER,
93, born Aug. 22, 1909 in DeSoto, TX passed away June 25, 2003 in Denton, TX.
Chuck was a longtime resident of Farmers Branch. He was raised in DeSoto and
moved to Farmers Branch in 1948 and later retired from Dresser-Giberson after 35
years. He was a lifetime member of Cold Springs Church of Christ in Lancaster
and Farmers Branch Church of Christ. Chuck was also an active volunteer for the
Office of Aging in Carrollton where he was the first recipient of the Lifetime
Achievement Award in 1996. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56
years Opal Marie Cox Cheshier. Chuck and Opal loved to travel and visited all 50
states. Chuck is survived by his son, John Cheshier and wife Debra, 3
granddaughters, Holly Cheshier and Amber Knupp Cheshier, TN., Chelsey Cheshier, 2
great grandchildren, Austin Gauge Knupp, Azure Dawn Knupp, TN., and numerous
nieces, nephews and extended family. Family will receive friends at Rhoton
Funeral Home on Sunday, June 29 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A service will be held
at Farmers Branch Church of Christ on Monday, June 30 at 2:00 PM with interment
to follow at Keenan Cemetery.
