OBITUARY
 
Janelle Pepper Chew
03/23/1930 to 03/19/21

Died of natural causes just a few days before what would have been her 91st birthday. Born to parents Ezra & Roberta Davis in Big Springs, Texas. She grew up in McKinney, Texas, went to college at North Texas St. University & met and married Jim Pepper.
She graduated from college with a teaching certificate. She taught school in Grapevine, R. L. Turner Hi School, Freeport Hi School, Washington D.C. ISD, Univ. of Houston, Univ. of WY. And TX State Teachers College during her long career in education.
She met the love of her life, Paul Chew, in Houston and after they married, followed his dream of living in the mountains and moved to Dubois, WY. They returned to Texas living in Harlingen, then Bastrop where they lived until the fire of 2011 that burned their house to the ground. From there they moved to Wimberley, TX & then spent their final years in San Marcos.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ezra and Roberta Davis, her older brother Bill Davis, and younger sister Joan Greene. She is survived by her husband of over 30 years, G. Paul Chew, her three children: Joani Pepper, Jack Pepper& his wife Tara Denys, and Jeff Pepper and his wife Joy. Plus grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews too numerous to list.
No services are planned at this time due to the covid pandemic.
