OBITUARY COKER, Leon Mr. Leon Coker, age 85 of
Winnsboro, formerly of Irving, passed away on Saturday, July 23rd,
2016 at a nursing home in Grand Saline. He was born on April 25th,
1931 in Ennis to the late Eddie Vestal Coker and Helen Marie Lanicek
Coker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a retired plumber, a
member of the Local 100 in Garland for 60 years, and a Baptist. He
was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Freddy Coker;
sister, Rosalee Harmon; step-son, Cecil Emmitt Mays, Jr.;
great-grandson, Randy Don Lane. He is survived by his loving wife of
43 years, Mildred Martin Coker of Winnsboro; daughter, Sandy Self of
Winnsboro; brother, Alan Coker of Mesquite; grandson, Leon Lane;
three nephews and a niece. A Memorial Service will be held on
Sunday, July 31st, 2016 at Beaty Funeral Home, 816 W. Broadway
Winnsboro, TX 75494 at 2:00 pm, Carey Ponder officiating.
