OBITUARY
Lonnie
Collins
February 6, 2016
Services for Lonnie Dean Collins, 58, of Salado will be at Central Texas
Veterans Cemetery, Killeen, Tx. at 12:00PM, Tuesday, February 16, 2016.
Officiating will be David Devereaux followed by Military Honors. Lonnie
died February 6, 2016 at Harker Heights hospital. He was born in Clovis,
Ca to George Collins, Sr and Patricia Short. He was as Private Second
Class in the Army and received the National Defense Medal for
marksmanship. Lonnie loved woodworking and became a cabinet maker. He
also loved fishing with his all the children and grandchildren.
Independently, he was very active in prison ministry. He is preceded by
his mother and father. He is survived by his wife Wendy Collins,
step-mother Phronie Collins, sister Susan Dugas, brother George Collins,
Jr., sons Lonnie Collins, Jr., Michael Collins and three grandchildren.
Flowers will be received at the funeral home. Services are in the care
of Broecker Funeral Home, Salado. |

He was born in Clovis, California, to the late George Collins, Sr. and Patricia

Survivors include his wife, Wendy Collins; sons, Lonnie Collins, Jr., and
Michael Collins; three grandchildren; step-mother, Phronie Collins; sister,
