OBITUARY
MIKE
CONN
Mike Conn of Carrollton, TX passed away on Monday, August 25, 2008. He was born
in 1926 near Coit and Arapaho in Richardson, Texas. He joined the Navy and
proudly served in World War II. Mike was a loving dad, granddad and friend. As a
dad, he coached baseball and taught his sons to hunt and fish but most of all he
showed them how to be a good man and care for others. Mike was an accomplished
tennis player that represented Texas in the Senior Olympics multiple times. He
was a teaching tennis pro at Brookhaven Country Club where in the early 80's he
formed a senior's tennis group that is still very active today with about 50
registered members. As a result Mike has many wonderful friends. Mike was
preceded by his wife Corkey Conn. He is survived by his sons, Michael E Conn and
his wife Connie and grandson Shane; Pat Conn and his wife Sheryl and
granddaughters April and Michelle; sisters
Audie Easley and
Marqurite Davis; and
dearest friend Jackie McDonald. Visitation will be 6-8pm Friday, August 29, 2008
at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be 10am Saturday, August 30, 2008 at
Restland Memorial Chapel, followed by a Rite to Celebrate Mike's life at 11:30am
at Restland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or
