COOK
FRANCES LUCILLE, age 81 of Longview, born January 15, 1912 in Dallas and died July 1, 1993 in Longview. She was a retired homemaking teacher, having worked for 17 years in the Wilmer Hutchins I.S.D.  She was a member of the Peters Colony Historical Association of Dallas County. She is survived by cousins Juanita & Clifton D. Harrison, Dallas, Eddie Lee & B. J. Hill, Garland, Kathy Wilcher, Dallas, Sherry, Roy & Robyn Taylor, Mesquite, Alberta Foster, Grand Prairie and Karen Pruett, Mabank. Graveside Services 2:30 P.M. Monday, July 5, 1993 at the PECAN GROVE CEMETERY, McKinney under the direction of WELCH FUNERAL HOME - Longview 903-753-5541

OBITUARY

Rites set for ex-teacher F. Lucille Cook

Services for F. Lucille Cook, a former homemaking teacher at WIlmer-Hutchins High School, will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney.
Ms. Cook, 80, died of complications from a stroke Thursday at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Longview.
The Dallas native began teaching after receiving a bachelor's degree in homemaking in 1936 from the University of North Texas.
She taught homemaking at Kosse and Cameron high schools before working at Wilmer-Hutchins in 1945 as its homemaking teacher. She remained there for 28 years as tead teacher, supervising six other homemaking teachers retiring in 1973.
Ms. Cook was a member of the Peters Colony Historical Association of Dallas County, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the Retired Teachers Association and First Baptist Church of Longview. She also was president of the volunteers at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
Survivors include her cousins, Juanita Harrison, Clifton Harrison and Kathy Wilcher of Dallas; Eddie Lee Hill and B. J. Hill of Garland; Sherry Taylor, Roy Taylor and Robyn Taylor of Mesquite; Alberta Foster of Grand Prairie; and Karen Pruett of Mabank.
