OBITUARY County Employee
Dies; Rites Friday
Funeral services for Lee Cook, employee of the county for the last twelve
years and resident of Farmers Branch for thirty-seven years, will be held Friday
at 10 a.m. in the Farmers Branch Baptist Church, of which he is a member.
Cook was an employee of Commissioners District No. 1. Prior to working for
the county he was a farmer.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. G. H. Pierce and Mrs. Homer Summer, Dallas;
four sons, Hubert Cook, Richardson; Homer Cook, Dallas; Sgt. Arthur Cook, Army,
Sioux Falls, SD; Pfc. James Cook, England; two sisters, Mrs. Ola Saunders,
Dallas, and Mrs. Ed Welch Handley.
Pallbearers will be George W. Rasberry, Will P. Echols, Jeff F. Willingham, S.C.
Moody, Delbert D. Moore, Marcus W. Morris. The Rev. G. B. Bailey, pastor of the
Farmers Branch Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. H. G. Wiens, pastor of the
Addison Baptist Church, will officiate at funeral services. Burial will be in
the Farmers Branch Cemetery.

Farmers Branch, died Wednesday. lifetime resident of Texas. Survived by wife,
Mrs. Luella Cook, Farmers Branch; two daughters, Mrs. Inez Pierce, Mrs.
Elizabeth Summer, Dallas; four sons, Hubert, Richardson, Homer, Dallas; Sgt.
Arthur Cook and Pfc. James Cook, U.S. Army; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs.
Ola Saunders, Dallas; Mrs. Ada Welch, Handley, Services Friday 10 a.m., Farmers
Branch Baptist Church. Rev. G. B. Bailey and Rev. H. G. Wiens officiating.
Interment Farmers Branch Cemetery. Pallbearers: George Rasbury, Will Echols,
Jesse Willingham, C. S. Moody, Delbert Moore, Marcus Morris, Arrangements
Guardian Funeral Home.
