Lanny Copeland FEBRUARY 23, 1955 – DECEMBER 17, 2021 Lanny Copeland, age 66, of Lewisville, Texas passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021. Lanny was born on February 23, 1955 in Dallas, Texas to Flora and Raymond Copeland. Lanny will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, father, friend, and colleague who loved race cars. He thoroughly enjoyed watching the races which included anything from dirt track racing to Nascars. Through this passion, Lanny made numerous connections with people who became his racing family; who he loved. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Drenda Copeland who he married in 1999; sister, Isla Singleton; and brothers, Stanley Copeland and Roy Copeland. Lanny is survived by sister, Kathie Hilton (Paul); brother, Billy Copeland; daughter, Melody Cotten (Josh); son, Steve Graham (Kristina); niece, Teresa Hilton; granddaughter, Aleah Cotten; grandson, Wyatt Cotten; granddaughter, Ashley Sims; grandson, William Davis; grandson, Lewis Davis; and great grandchildren, Elijah and Charlotte Davis.
