OBITUARY
 
Robert Terrell Coursey
April 27, 1928 - January 10, 2012

Robert Terrell Coursey, 83, passed away January 10, 2012 surrounded by those that loved him the most. Robert was born April 27, 1928 to Howard and Mary Coursey in Fort Worth, Texas later moving to Dallas when he was three months old. Following graduation from Crozier Tech High School he joined the Marine Corp where he served in the Korean War. Robert returned to become a Master Plumber and later earned his teaching certificate. He married wife Sarah on April 7, 1956. Robert then retired from the City of Dallas as a Plumbing Supervisor in 1983. He belonged to many branches of the Masonic Order being a Master Mason of 62 years. He and Sarah became 50-year members of Eastern Star on November 14, 2011. Robert is survived by his wife of 55 years Sarah, sons Jim Ellison and wife Cindy, Bill Ellison and wife Debbie, Bob Coursey and wife Angie, grandchildren Gus Ellison, Jessica Ellison and fiancé Nathan Davis, Colleen Coursey Walter and husband David, other relatives, and many friends whom he loved and they loved him. Visitation will be held at 4419 Samuell Boulevard on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 5pm to 7pm. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, January 13, 2012, at Ed C. Smith & Bros. Funeral Home with burial at Grove Hill Cemetery.
