DORIS ELIZABETH EDWARDS, of Southlake Texas. Born in Carrollton, August 11, 1912. Doris was a Sunday School teacher and active in the Choir for many years. She devoted her life and love to her family. "She opens her mouth with wisdom and teaching of kindness is on her tongue. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband too, and he praises her. " Proverbs 31. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Jimmie Lee Cox and her beloved sister Mary A. Richey. Beloved mother of Billie Jo Stewart, Charlie Cox, Mary Lou & husband, Don Stringer and mother-in-law, of Tawana Cox.  Beloved grandmother of Richard and Karen Stewart, Robert and Lynn Stewart, Vickey and Wayne Smith, Robert and Clare Cox, Rhonetta Schirato, Rana and Kerry Modawell, Donna Papadatos, Diane Bennett, Darla and David Dobbie, Darra Stringer, & Derek Stringer; 30 great-grandchildren. Services 3:30 PM Monday, April 15, 1996, RESTLAND WILDWOOD CHAPEL. Robert Stewart, Pastor of the Lighthouse Church of Enid, OK. and Coy Quisenberry, Pastor of the Lonesome Dove Baptist Church of Southlake, TX., officiating. Interment Restland Memorial Park.

Family will receive friends after 2:00 PM Sunday, April 14, 1996, Resltand Funeral Home.
