February 2, 1947 - February 13, 2021Anita Louise Jacobsen
Crank was born February 2, 1947, and went to Heaven in the arms of Jesus
on February 13, 2021, at the age of 74. She was born in El Paso, TX, to
Harry James Jacobsen and Catherine Adams Jacobsen. Shortly after, the
family moved to Dallas and then to Farmers Branch, where she grew up.
Anita graduated from R.L. Turner High School in 1965 and then went to
college at East Texas Baptist College in Marshall, TX, where she met her
husband. Upon her graduation in 1969, she married Richard Crank on
August 16, 1969. She began teaching that year at Jefferson Junior High
School, Jefferson, TX, where she taught for 5 years. She and her husband
moved to Garland, TX, in 1974. She worked in the Computer Department at
Fina Oil Company for 2 years. She then continued her teaching career in
1976 at Garland High School, where she taught English, business courses
and computer skills. She and her husband moved to Rowlett in 1996. Anita
retired in 2000. They joined FBC Rowlett in 1997 where she was an active
member. She first taught Sunday School in the Youth Department, later
she taught Kindergarten, which was her love. She also coordinated The
Lifesavers Ministry, which provides treats for our Fire and Police
Departments, and numerous other things. She had been dealing with Cancer
for a little over a year.
Anita is survived by her husband, Richard Crank; mother, Catherine
Jacobsen Jaton; sisters, Wanda Jacobsen, Diane Park and husband Sam, and
Cynthia Jacobsen; brother, Jimmy Jacobsen; a number of nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry James Jacobsen.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 27, 2021,
at First Baptist Church Rowlett, 4309 Main Street, Rowlett TX 75088. |
