OBITUARY Mrs. Cromer
Died Friday
Mrs. J. G. Cromer died at her home in Farmers Branch last Friday morning,
Sept 25, at 4:07 o'clock after a very short sickness; she never having regained
consciousness after she was stricken Monday morning Sept. 21.
Funeral services were held in Carrollton in the Methodist church Saturday
morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Roper of Dallas conducting the services, and
interment being in Forest Lawn cemetery. A large concourse of surrounding
relatives and friends being present to show their respects to her who had spent
her life among them so blamelessly. The Carrollton Fire department attended in a
body; two of her sons being, or having recently been members of the
organization.
Mrs. Cromer was born March 11, 1875, her maiden being Irena Shepherd in Wood
county, near Mineola, Texas, and was 56 years, 6 months, and 14 days old at the
time of her death. She has been a member of the Church of God many years
and lived a true Christian life, a loving wife and mother.
She leaves a husband and five children: Mrs. Floyd May, Mrs. John Inman of
Hamilton, Dub Cromer of Lake Dallas, Lem Cromer of this place, and Mrs. Ben
Thompson of Farmers Branch. There are seven grandchildren, two sisters and four
brothers, The family have lived the greater portion of their lives in or about
Carrollton and only a few months ago they moved to Farmers Branch. There is a
vacant chair in the home that cannot be filled, but we know that she is in her
heavenly home that the Master has prepared for her.

kind and good to us during the sickness and death of our dear wife and mother,
and for the beautiful floral offerings. May God bless each and everyone.
