BRADLEY THOMAS CROSS
November 4, 1956 - August 13, 2016

Bradley T. Cross, 59, passed away on August 13, 2016. Bradley T. Cross was born on November 4, 1956 in Philip, South Dakota to Thomas H. and Mary Ellen Cross. He graduated from Yankton High School in South Dakota in 1975. He continued his education at Texas Christian University where he graduated in 1979. Brad received his Master’s degree in Education from Baker University in Baldwin City, KS in 1998. He began his career in education in 1980 at Christian Life High School in Rockford, IL. He also taught at several schools in Nebraska and Kansas before making his way to Texas in 2005. His most recent position was with Newman Smith High School in Carrollton, TX, where he had been teaching since 2011. Although Brad was a teacher of various subjects in the sciences, his greatest passion was coaching high school football. His coaching career spanned baseball, basketball, football, softball, and track and field. Brad’s hobbies included cooking, grilling, reading military or espionage thrillers, and watching sports. He cherished his wife, three children and three grandsons. He is preceded in death by his father Thomas H. Cross. Brad is survived by his mother, Mary Ellen Cross of Yankton, SD; Wife of 34 years, Kimberly A. Cross of Flower Mound; children, Brent T. Cross (wife, Kirbe) of Grand Prairie, Jeffrey M. Cross of Minneapolis, MN, and Erin E. Cross of Flower Mound; grandchildren, Braeden H. Cross, Nolan J. Cross and Easton C. Cross, all of Grand Prairie; siblings, Ellen Rashone of Valentine, NE, and William M. Cross of Rapid City, SD.
