ARTICLE "ACTING" WHILE WAITING
Mrs. Margie Culpepper, acting postmistress at Farmers Branch since May 1,
1952, Saturday awaited formal appointment by the new administration in
Washington. Mrs. Culpepper, whose tiny office services more than 400 families off
Dallas' rim, succeeded her mother, Mrs. Dena
Butts, who held the post twenty-three years. Said Mrs. Culpepper: "I
understand I won't hear anything from Washington till January."

ARTICLE CASH BOOK POINTS WAY
Mrs. Margie Culpepper, acting postmistress at Farmers Branch is plugging for a
larger post office. Her cash book shows receipts hitting a $7,000-a-year pace
against only $3,436.11 in 1950. "Some folks want this post office made a Dallas
substation and some want a bigger post office built here. We must either enlarge
or -".
