OBITUARY CURTIS
TROY, 67, of Pottsboro, passed away February 10, 1992 in Dallas. Mr. Curtis was
born February 15, 1924 in Richardson. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, James
A. Smith Masonic Lodge no 395 in Farmers Branch and the Carrollton Masonic Lodge
no. 1400, and The First Christian Church in Carrollton. He is survived by his
wife, Jean Curtis, Pottsboro; sons, R. T. Curtis, Van, Gary Curtis, Lewisville,
Hal Curtis, Pottsboro; grandchildren, Ron Stacy, Ashley, Jason, Carmen, Jimmy;
brothers, Charles Curtis, Farmers Branch, Freddie Curtis, Pilot Point; sisters,
Betty Peacock and Barbara Bonneau, both of Farmers Branch. Services, 1:30 P.M.,
Wednesday, 2-12-92, Farmers Branch Church of Christ. Mr. Ed Bonneau and Mr. Mark
Davis presiding. Interment and Masonic Graveside Service. Restland Memorial
park. Pallbearers: John Dutton, Shanon Bonneau, Todd Bonneau, Sid Sanford, Greg
Marcom, Chris Curtis, Curtis Peacock. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 7:00
P.M. - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Texas, United States, his father, James Odis Curtis Sr., was 32 and his
mother, Florence Elizabeth Polley, was 24. He married Emma Gene Vinson
on 31 December 1943, in Denton, Texas, United States. He lived in
Grapevine, Tarrant, Texas, United States in 1930. He died on 10 February
1992, at the age of 67.
When Emma Gene Vinson was born on 2 March 1926, in Carrollton,
Dallas, Texas, United States, her father, Claude Vinson, was 31
and her mother, Blanche Dell Hewitt, was 30. She married Troy
Curtis on 31 December 1943, in Denton, Texas, United States. She
died on 1 June 2001, in Grayson, Texas, United States, at the
age of 75.
