OBITUARY DENNIS
JOSEPHINE NICHOLSON, following a courageous battle with cancer, went to meet the
Lord on Saturday, November 20, 1993, which was one week prior to her 71st
birthday. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Truman E. Dennis on October
17, 1979. Josephine's mother, Margaret Nicholson Kent, had recently passed away
on September 24, 1993. Josephine was also predeceased by her father, Louis A.
Nicholson, Sr., a brother, James Nicholson, a son, J. T. Dennis and an infant
daughter. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Walsh of Farmers Branch and
daughter & son-in-law Barbara & Ronny Coop of Lewisville. She also leaves behind
her four precious grandchildren, Rhonda Jo Coop and Jim Coop of Lewisville and
Shannon and Heather Walsh of Farmers Branch. Josephine is also survived by four
brothers, Eugene, Joe, George and L. A. Nicholson. She was deeply loved by her
little family and is irreplaceable. Pallbearers serving are: Jim Coop, grandson,
Matthew Washburn, a dear family friends, and nephews Victor, Donnie and Eddie
Nicholson as well as grand-nephew, Larry Good., Jr. Josephine's family wishes to
thank Dr. James Burks for being a sincere friend as well as her physician and to
thank him for always being there when they needed him. They also wish to extend
heartfelt thanks to Josephine's long-time friend, Dorothy White, who has been a
source of strength to them. The family will be at Rhoton Funeral Home in
Carrollton, Texas from 7-9 P.M. on Monday. November 22, 1993 for visitation. The
services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday,
November 23, 1993 with the Reverend Henry C. Garber officiating. Interment
will follow at Farmers Branch (Keenan) Cemetery.
