OBITUARY Mrs. Mary Alice Riley Dies
Mary
Alice (Riley) Dennis, born June 26, 1883, married to Perlo Dennis, Dec. 7, 1908,
married to Perlo Dennis, Dec. 7, 1908.
In the passing away of Mrs. Dennis last Sunday, Dec. 8, 1918, at
Farmers Branch the community loses a good Christian woman. She leaves a
sorrowing husband, a son, Norman Clyde nine years of age, besides her mother,
brothers, and sisters and numerous friends.
Her father, Jacob Riley, only preceded her a few days of which she
never knew. She professed a hope in Christ at the age of fifteen, united with
the Union Baptist church, was a member of Farmers Branch Baptist church at the
time of her death. A large crowd attended the funeral services at the Baptist
Church at Farmers Branch Monday afternoon, conducted by her pastor, I. M.
Phillips, assisted by Rev. Geo. Good.
