OBITUARY Dallas County Pioneer Passes at Fort
Worth
FORT WORTH, Texas, May 7. -- Funeral services were held here Thursday for Mrs.
Nannie Dennis, 78, wife of the late Willie Dennis, pioneer Methodist minister of
West Texas, whose grandfather, I. B. Webb, came to Peters Colony before Dallas
County was organized.
Mrs. Dennis died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. R. Timmons, with whom she
had resided.
Burial was in the Webb's
Chapel Cemetery at Farmers Branch.
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis were married at Farmers Branch before moving to West Texas,
where Mr. Dennis held pastorates at Sweetwater and other points.
Survivors include her daughter and three grandsons, Ralph Timmmons of
Gladewater, Joe T. Timmons in the Army in North Africa, and Charles Timmmons in

MRS. NANCY Z DENNIS
Services for Mrs. Nancy Z Dennis, 78, Fort Worth resident since 1926, who died
Wednesday in a hospital, were conductd at 2 p.m. Thursday at Robertson-Mueller
Harper Temple. Burial was in Farmers Branch Cemetery.
Mrs. Dennis lived with a daughter, Mrs. Jewell Timmons, 3237 Townsend Drove.
