OBITUARY
 
DEPEW,  JOEY (Carol Jo) ANDERSON DEPEW was born Oct. 07, 1947 in Providence, RI. She passed away suddenly on Jan. 25, 2004 in Farmers Branch, TX. She is survived by her husband, Bob of 34 yrs, & daughter Niki, 27 yrs. Also survived by her parents, Dr. George & Milly Anderson, brothers, George, Larry, Tom, & sister, Jenny. Joey was a homemaker & mother, who loved to garden, & volunteered for many activities. She was an active member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Family & Lutheran Out-Door Ministry & became the first lady member of the Board of Education at the school. Joey loved kids, esp. special needs kids & was a Girl Scout leader for 14 yrs for troop 866. She received many awards from the Tejas Council. In 1989, she started the Vivian Field Middle School parent volunteer program & received the C/FB ISD Life Time PTSA membership. She substituted at R. L. Turner between 2000-02. Joey was active in the Humane Society, hand feeding birds & kittens. She hosted Exchange Students for eight yrs. In recent yrs, Joey became a moderator for the Yahoo group for Psychotropic Drug withdrawal and recovery. Joey was a loving, caring, determined woman who touched the hearts of all she knew, & always put others first. Fondly & Forever, will she be remembered. Family only services performed.
