Jimmy Ray Doerr
Jimmy Ray Doerr. 71, passed away at his residence in Highland Village, Texas on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. He was born March 21, 1942 in Ft. Towson, OK. to Louis Edward and Ruby Ruth (Baskin) Doerr. He married Kathryn Souther in Durant, OK., on October 26, 1963. He worked as a trucker.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Slay Memorial Funeral Center in Aubrey, TX at 400 S. HWY 377 on Sunday, October 6, from 3:00 p.m. till 4:00p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Slay Memorial Funeral Center Chapel with James Hilton officiating. Burial will follow at Belew Cemetery.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Kathryn of Highland Village; two sons, Dave Floyd and wife, Micki of Boulder City, NV.; and Brett Doerr and Kim of Highland Village; two grandchildren, J.D. Floyd and Mike Floyd. Also surviving are three sisters, Tommie Rogers of Farmers Branch; Clara Jones of Lewisville; and Martha Hill of Kaufman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Edward and Ruby Ruth Doerr and one brother, Sonny Doerr.
