DONNELL, BLANCHE "Who can find a virtuous woman - for her price
is far above rubies. Her children arise up, and call her blessed."
Proverbs 31: 10;28 After a lengthy illness, Blanche Donnell went to be
with the Lord on March 28, 2003. Gladys Blanche Anderson was born July
14, 1922 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and grew up in Paducah, Texas. Blanche
married Weldon C. Donnell on Sept. 4, 1939 and they lived most of their
53 years of marriage in Dallas, Texas. Blanche was a strong Christian
wife and mother who prayed for her children and grandchildren and saw
them all come to know the Lord. She was a faithful, longtime member of
Valwood Park Baptist Church and the Lydia Class. Blanche worked many
years in oil accounting for ARCO and later retired from Pearl Optical.
Preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and one sister,
Blanche is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Calvin and Ruth
Anne Donnell of Carrollton and Stephen and Pam Donnell of McKinney; her
grandchildren Brian and Amy Donnell of Carrollton , Jeff and Sissie
Donnell of Big Spring, Kim and Kyle Short, Kristen and Wilson Spain, and
Kelly Donnell all of McKinney; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers
Frank and Jack Anderson; one sister Audrey Bullock; numerous nieces and
nephews. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, March 30,
from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held on Monday, March 31,
at 10:00 am, at Valwood Park Baptist Church, 2727 Valwood Parkway in
Farmers Branch, Dr. Jeffrey Donnell and Rev. Jerry Hayes officiating.
Interment will follow at
Perry Cemetery in Carrollton . Dignity Memorial Rhoton Funeral Home
