Robert Alger
Duncan
February 14, 1922 - October 15, 2012
Robert Alger Duncan of Lewisville, age 90, passed away October 15, 2012.
"Dunc" as known throughout his life married the love of his life, Sarah
Faye Damron in 1940. They were married 64 years. Faye preceded him in death in
2004.
An entrepreneur all his life, Dunc farmed and raised hogs at his
Lewisville residence since 1954. In addition, he bought and sold anything and
everything and was the best "wheeler-dealer”. He bought and sold saddles to
outfitters in the Western United States. He loved to hunt in Colorado and went
annually for the deer and elk season. He has a Boone and Crockett elk and it was
the center of his game room along with many other trophy mounts.
He is survived by daughters Barbara Routh and husband Gary of Tunas,
Missouri ; Kathy Morse and husband Van of Ennis, Texas ; Sherri Revier and
husband John of Georgetown, Texas.
He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Grandchildren and great grandchildren include: Donna Routh Reid of
Richmond Hill, Georgia, and children Cody and his wife Zara, Jesse, Austin and
Sarah; Kyle Routh & wife Lorri of Ponder, and children Matt, Kelli and Kari;
Kevin Routh and wife Melinda of Aubrey, and daughters Amanda and Stephanie;
Denise Routh Stubblefield and husband Robert of Justin, and children Alyssa and
Travis; Wendy Morse Northcutt and husband Jerry of Ennis, and sons Owen and
Drew; Brian Morse and wife Melissa of Keller, and children Paris, Duncan and
Valeigh; Scott Revier and wife Melissa of Plano; Amy Revier and husband Clayton
Littlejohn of London, England.
Funeral service was held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Mulkey-Mason
Funeral Home in Lewisville. Interment followed at
Furneaux Cemetery in
Carrollton. The family received friends from 12:00 to 1:00 prior to the service.
The family requests memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer
Society.
