Dunham
February 3, 1931 - January 24, 2024
U.S. Veteran
Roy Gene Dunham, age 92, of Naples, Texas, passed away Wednesday,
January 24, 2024 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Roy was born February 3, 1931,
in Farmer’s Branch, Texas, to Elbert and Ethel Dunham.
Roy attended Rocky Point Methodist Church in Naples. He served in the
United States Air Force and was stationed in Korea during the Korean
War. He then became a civilian aircraft inspector for the Air Force. Roy
retired from General Dynamics in Ft. Worth in the mid 80’s.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Hicks Dunham; his parents;
four brothers; and one grandson.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Nancy Page Frederick of Allen,
Texas and Beverly Edgil of Wylie, Texas; three grandchildren, Brandon
Edgil and wife Andred, Brad Edgil, and Brandi Edgil; seven
great-grandchildren, Brooke Wasson, Blake Wasson, Cole Wasson, Brayden
Edgil, Breann Edgil, Baylee Edgil, and Max Edgil and wife Alex; one
great-great-granddaughter, Bentley; and numerous other relatives and
friends.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2024 at
Creekmore Cemetery in Naples with Bro. Dwaine Higgins officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Creekmore Cemetery

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy Dunham of Naples, Texas, born in
Farmers Branch, Texas, who passed away on January 24, 2024 at the age of 92.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Dunham and Ethel Dunham; and his wife
Doris Hicks Dunham. He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Nancy Page Frederick
of Allen and Beverly Edgil of Wylie, Texas; his grandchildren, Brandon Edgil (Andred),
Brad Edgil and Brandi Edgil; his great grandchildren, Brooke Wasson, Blake
Wasson, Cole Wasson, Brayden Edgil, Breann Edgil, Baylee Edgil and Max Edgil
(Alex); and his great great grandchild Bentley. He is also survived by numerous
other relatives and friends.
