Brad Dunn
September 16, 1974 - December 29, 2016

Richard Bradley “Brad” Dunn passed away peacefully after a long illness on December 29, 2016 in Plano, Texas. He was 42 years old.
Brad was born September 16, 1974 in Dallas, Texas. While he lived many places over the years (like Abilene, Arkansas, and New York City), Carrollton, Texas was his home and he was residing there at the time of his passing.
Brad graduated from Newman Smith High School in Carrollton in 1993. He graduated with a BA in Theater from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas in 1997. He received his Juris Doctor from SMU in Dallas, Texas in 2007.
Brad is survived by his parents, Ron and Patti Dunn of Carrollton, Texas, his sister, Leslie Mida, and husband, Erick, of Frisco, Texas, his niece and nephews, Natalie, Will and Spencer Mida, all of Frisco, Texas, his maternal grandfather, Harvy Lacy, of Lubbock, Texas and by several aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends.
Brad is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Lacy, of Lubbock Texas and by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Marguerite Dunn, both of Claude, Texas.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen (2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013). The visitation will be in the chapel from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
A memorial service honoring Brad’s life will take place Wednesday, January 4th at 2:30 p.m. at Webb Chapel Church of Christ (13425 Webb Chapel Rd., Farmers Branch, Texas 75234).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to one of the following organizations in Brad’s honor: The American Cancer Society (cancer.org) or Dallas CASA: Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (dallascasa.org).
