Robert (Bob) Whitfield Durham Sr.
September 7, 1938 - October 10, 2010

Robert "Bob" W. Durham, Sr., 72, of Carrollton, Texas, passed from this life on October 10, 2010. Bob was born in New Orleans, La on September 7, 1938. He attended John McDonough Senior High, graduating in 1957. He attended LSU New Orleans. He married his high school sweetheart, Jeannette, April 4, 1959 and they built a home and family, first in New Orleans, and then moved to Carrollton, Texas in 1978. After working with McCormick Spice for many years, he started in acrylic display and design, eventually founding Displays Etc, Inc in 1996. Bob had a love of family, church, travel and reading that will always be remembered.

Preceded in death by his parents, Rezen Pepper (R.P.) and Claire Kern Durham and sister Alice Lee, Bob Sr is survived by his loving wife of almost 52 years Jeannette D. Durham, daughter Cynthia Durham Agustin, son Bob Durham, Jr and his wife Kimberly; grandchildren: Travis and Tara Chambers, Justin Chambers, Brandon Chambers, Blake Durham, Samantha Durham, Alexander Durham, and Savannah Nicole Durham. He is also survived by a brother, Raymond.

Visitation will be at the Rhoton Funeral Home from 6:00-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 13 with a Rosary at 6pm led by Deacon Walter Stone. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church with reception following at the Church Hall. Internment will follow at 1pm at Hilltop Memorial Park in Carrollton, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, family requests a donation made in Bob's honor to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church for ongoing Ministry Materials at 1705 E. Peters Colony Road, Carrollton, Texas 75007-3704.

Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Chambers, Justin Chambers, Brandon Chambers, Blake Durham, Junior Guerra, John Garcia, Alan McIntyre and Matt Shone. Honorary pallbearers are Sidney Bardfield, Michael Maunroir, Phil Wetzel, Kyle Kondas, Michael Chambers, Johnny Mohan, Rick Jones and Rick Smith.
