DALLAS MAN INDICTED IN CONNECTION WITH FATAL HIT-RUN
CASE
A Dallas County grand jury indicted a Dallas man on a charge of
involuntary manslaughter Friday in connection with a Dec. 7 traffic accident
in which a 14-year-old Carrollton girl was killed.
Donald Lee Carr, 39, is accused of driving while intoxicated, running a red
light and leaving the scene of an accident after running into another car in
the intersection of Trinity Mills Road and Kelly Boulevard.
Patricia Echeverri , a passenger in the second car,
died about four hours after the collision. Her father, who was driving, and
another passenger in their car sustained minor injuries.
Carr was arrested behind the wheel of his car on a residential street in
Carrollton less than a mile from where the accident occurred, according to
records.
