OBITUARY
Shelly
Rene' (Drew) Evans, 42, of Frisco, Texas passed unexpectedly on
Thursday, July 31, 2014 as a result of an aortic dissection. Shelly was
born on May 8, 1972 in Beaumont, Texas to Bert and Jeanette Drew.
Shelly attended Mary Immaculate Catholic grade school in Farmers Branch,
Texas and graduated from Newman Smith High School in Carrollton, Texas
in 1990. She attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas where she
graduated in 1994 and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration
Degree. Shelly was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and met her
husband Rob Evans while attending Baylor.
Rob and Shelly were married September 17, 1994 at Prince of Peace
Catholic Community in Plano, Texas. They have lived in Frisco since
1995. Shelly dedicated her life with much love to her active and vibrant
family. Shelly was a supportive member of the Liberty High School
Booster Club and Frisco community sports.
Shelly thrived in software sales and was an OEM Account Manager at
Actuate Corporation, where she recently was awarded salesperson of the
year.
Shelly is survived by her husband, Rob Evans, their sons, Robby (17) and
Tanner (13), her parents Bert and Jeanette Drew of Plano, Texas, her
sister Shanda (Drew) Jaye of Plano, Texas, and her nieces Riley and
Ansley Jaye.
Shelly was loved by Rob's family from the first time they met her. She
is survived by Jean and Dave Evans of Frisco Texas, Dave and Jennifer
Evans of Flower Mound, Texas, Debbie and Scott Wheeler of Plano, Texas
and nephews David and Preston Evans and Thomas and James Wheeler. Shelly
is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and an extensive, supportive
and diverse family of friends from coast to coast.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents and great-grandparents.
Viewing/Visitation Services for Shelly will be on Tuesday, August 5th
from 6:00 PM -7:00 PM followed by a short Liturgy of the Word at Prince
of Peace Catholic Community, 5100 Plano Parkway West, Plano, Texas
75093. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 7th at 2:00 PM at
Prince of Peace Catholic Community. A reception will follow the Mass. |
