Jackie Ray Ewing Obituary
Memorial services for Jackie Ray Ewing 89, of Athens have been scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday February 22, 2024 at Carroll Springs Community Church with Bro. Michael Johnston officiating.

Jackie was born August 10, 1934 in Dallas, Texas to the late Walter Everett and Cleo Morgan Ewing. Jackie was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a truck driver by trade and spent 14 yrs. With Central Freight and 6 years with Toms Peanuts. He was a member of Carroll Springs Community Church and a resident of Henderson County the majority of his life. He loved to play dominos and watching westerns on tv. He loved the outdoors going camping and fishing,

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Walter Ewing, Arthur Ewing and Paul Ewing and his first wife Jean Ewing.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years Margaret Anding Ewing, sons; Johnny Ewing of Seagoville, Duke Ewing and wife Cynthia of Seagoville, grandchildren; Faith and Tyler Ewing and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jackie Ray Ewing of Athens, Texas, born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on February 16, 2024 at the age of 89.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Everett and Cleo Morgan Ewing; his brothers, Walter Ewing, Arthur Ewing and Paul Ewing; and his sibling-in-law Jean Ewing.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Anding Ewing; his sons, Johnny Ewing of Seagoville and Duke Ewing (Cynthia) of Seagoville; and his grandchildren, Faith and Tyler Ewing.
