OBITUARY

FARR, JAMES EDWARD "JIM", 73, of Dallas. Born August 6, 1930 in Wolfe City, Texas. Jim passed away on November 2, 2003 in Dallas, TX. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Artie Edward Farr and Margaret Brignon Farr. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and attended SMU. Jim's career in commercial property development included employment with the J.L.Williams and Vantage Companies. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doris Jean Cox Farr; son Herbert Ray Farr and fiancee Kathleen Cook: son and daughter-in-law James Keith Farr and Ana Vela Farr; sister Nina Farr Ivey and husband Clifton Ivey; nephew Clifton J. Ivey, Jr. of Baton Rouge LA.; and a grandchild Lauren Vela Moore. The family wishes to express its thanks and appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of RHD and Select Specialty Hospitals for the compassionate care and attention given to Jim over the last six weeks. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 4 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
