OBITUARY

LAKE DALLAS - Hurshel Farrow, Jr., 75, of Lake Dallas, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, in Dallas. He was born May 1, 1932, in Dallas to Hurshel Farrow, Sr. and Ruby Pearl Gumm Farrow. He graduated from Denton High School, Colorado A&M and U.N.T. He married Patsy Ferrell on Sept. 8, 1951, in Lake Dallas. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of Lake Cities United Methodist Church and was a high school drama teacher.

A graveside service will be held Friday, Sept. 28, at Swisher Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Kathryn Strempke officiating. Lunch will be served at Lake Cities United Methodist Church after the service.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy R. Farrow of Lake Dallas; sister, Dorothy Forgey of Lake Dallas; many beloved nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces, and great great nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by a sister, Alvis Vinson.

Memorials may be made to Lake Cities Food Pantry, Community Aid Fund or Pastor Discretionary Fund, c/o Lake Cities United Methodist Church, 300 E. Hundley, Lake Dallas, TX 75065.
