OBITUARY HOBART DALE FERGUSON
FERGUSON, HOBART DALE "BART" 77, passed away Friday, Oct. 28, 2005 in
Carrollton, Tx. Bart was born June 30, 1928 in Eugene, Oregon to Lillian Stewart
Ferguson and Clyde Parker Ferguson. After Clyde's death in 1929, The family
moved to the Los Angeles area where Bart was active in Boy Scouts, often camping
in the Yosemite National Forest. He graduated from Venice High in 1945, and UCLA
in 1949. Bart served in the Quartermaster's Corp in Korea from 1950 to 1953. In
1954, Bart married Doris Beeler of Powell, Tenn. He worked for Sun Oil for 47
years, retiring in 1986. Bart was preceded in death by his parents; Doris, his
wife of 46 years; sister, Gayle Marie Goodwin; and brother, W. Stewart Ferguson.
Bart is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Carley Ferguson of
Grand Prairie, Tx.; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Rusty Cagle of Flower
Mound, Tx.; and four grand-children; Randy Cagle, Ray Cagle, and Jake Cagle , of
Flower Mound, Tx., and Jack Ferguson of Grand Prairie, Tx. Visitation will be
Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Metrocrest Funeral Home. Funeral
services will be Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Metrocrest Funeral
Home Chapel, 1810 N. Perry Road, Carrollton, Texas 75006. Interment at
Hilltop Memorial Park. Memorial
donations in Bart's memory can be made to the American Parkinson's Disease
