Obituary for
Shirley Jean Fields Shirley Jean Fields, known as “Rusty” by all who knew and loved her
passed away to Heaven October 3, 2020 at the age of 82 years old.
Born on June 23, 1938 in Waco as an only child to the best people ever,
Bob and Ethel Smith aka “Nannie and PawPaw.”
She married the love of her life, Robert L. “Bob” Fields and had two
beautiful daughters. Rusty and Bob were hard working and well liked in
their community in Farmers Branch. They enjoyed spending time with
family, going to church, having dinner parties with friends, and
traveling in their RV with their dogs.
She is preceded by her parents, Bob and Ethel, and her loving husband of
nearly 40 years, Robert L. Fields.
She will be greatly missed by her family, daughter Michelle Sutton
(Son-in-law Russ Sutton), daughter Deann Fields, grandchildren, Brandon
and Susan Zachary, Sarabeth and Brandon Lacy, and Juliana and Jeff
Salvo. She also left six beautiful and fun loving great-grandchildren
she adored.

Shirley Jean Fields, 84, died on Saturday, October 3, 2020. Rusty, as she
was known by her family and friends, was born June 23, 1938 in Waco, Texas, the
only child of Bob and Ethel Smith. She married the love of her life, Robert L.
'Bob' Fields, and had two beautiful daughters. Rusty and Bob were hard-working
and well-liked in their community in Farmers Branch, Texas, and they enjoyed
spending time with family, going to church, having dinner parties with friends,
and traveling in their RV with their dogs. She was preceded by her parents; her
loving husband of nearly 40 years, Bob. She was survived by daughters, Michelle
Sutton and spouse Russ Sutton, daughter, Deann Fields; grandchildren, Brandon
and Susan Zachary, Sarabeth and Brandon Lacy, and Juliana and Jeff Salvo; and
six great-grandchildren, whom she adored. Graveside services were held at 4:00
p.m. on Wednesday, 7 October, at
Hilltop Memorial Park Cemetery, Carrollton, Texas. |
