OBITUARY
Fischer , Alan Donn 56, passed away on August 23, 2008 after a very brief
illness. Alan was born on Sept 1, 1951 in Hastings, Nebraska where he lived
until age 17. He moved to Dallas, and was a 1969 graduate of R L Turner HS in
Carrollton . Alan graduated from SMU in 1973 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering
which enabled him to travel the world and work in many different countries. Alan
was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity where he developed many lifetime
bonds of friendship. Alan was a fine chef and a connoisseur of food. His other
pastimes included fishing and hunting. Alan is preceded in death by his wife,
Beverly; mother, Marilyn, and sister, Pamela. Alan is survived by his father,
Donn Fischer ; stepchildren Pete Sugawara, Tanya Hamak, Raena Bordessa, Brett
Carroll, Shawn Williams, and their families; sisters Valerie Fischer , Jan
Haberer, and brother-in-law, Randy; 21 grandchildren; 2 nieces; 3 nephews, and
many close friends. Memorials may be made to Texas Delta chapter of Phi Delta
Theta Fraternity. Rites to celebrate Alan's life will be Tue, Aug 26th, 3pm at
Metrocrest Funeral Home, 1810 N. Perry Rd., Carrollton , TX 75006.
