OBITUARY
 
Wayne Floyd
1937 - 2010

A memorial service for Wayne Floyd, 72, of Nacogdoches, Texas, was held Saturday, March 27, 2010, at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Bill Gandin officiating.
Mr. Floyd passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2010, in Nacogdoches. He was born on March 28, 1937, in Pattonville, Texas to the late Carl Earl Floyd and Joyce Imogene Butler Floyd.
Wayne graduated from Carrollton High School in 1957. He was employed for 37 years with Texas Power and Light which later became TU Electric as a district accountant. After his retirement, Wayne and his wife, Mary enjoyed traveling through the United States in their RV. Wayne and Mary Moved to Artesia in 2001 and came to love the people and the area. In Jun 2001, they purchased the Artesia RV Park. They moved from Artesia to Nacogdoches in July 2009.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Johnston Floyd of Nacogdoches; son, Kenneth Ray Floyd of Artesia; daughter, Nancy Jean Warner and husband George of Grapevine, Texas; son, Murray Wayne Floyd of Grapevine; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Charles Lambert Moore.

A memorial service for Mr. Thomas Dewayne Floyd, 72, of Nacogdoches, Texas will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 4:00 pm at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Bill Gandin officiating.

Mr. Floyd passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2010 in Nacogdoches, Texas.

He was born on March 28, 1937 in Pattonville, Texas to the late Jack Earl Floyd and Joyce Imogene Butler Floyd.

Wayne graduated from Carrollton High School in 1957. He was employed for 37 years for Texas Power and Light which later became TU Electric as a district accountant. After his retirement, Wayne and his wife, Mary enjoyed traveling throughout the United States in their RV. During those travels they met and still maintain numerous close friendships. When not traveling he enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. Wayne was meticulous in all endeavors he enjoyed.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Elaine Johnston Floyd of Nacogdoches; son, Kenneth Ray Floyd of Artesia, New Mexico; daughter, Nancy Jean Warner and husband, George of Grapevine, Texas; son, Murray Wayne Floyd of Grapevine, Texas; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and step-father, Charles Lambert Moore.

At the families request there will be no visitation
