Caught by the Gin Saw
TRINITY MILLS. Sept 9. - J. H. Furneaux, Willow Springs vicinity, while at work in his gin yesterday, met with a most serious accident. His left had was caught in the dreaded saw, cutting off the two forefingers and severely lacerating the others and the palm of the hand. Mr. Furneaux has been a most excellent performer on the piano and this will materially interfere with his playing

OBITUARY

Funeral Set For Veteran Cattle Raiser

Funeral services for Joseph Hamlyn Furneaux, 79, prominent Texas ranchman and resident of Dallas since 1890, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the Brewer Funeral Home.  He died Wednesday at his home, 4653 Nakoma Drove.
Services will be conducted by Dr. Umphrey Lee and Dr. Marshall Steel, former pastor and president of the Highland Park Methodist Church, of which Mr. Furneaux was a member.
The son of William and Fannie Jackson Furneaux, who moved to Texas from Devonshire, England in 1856, Mr. Furneaux was born Sept. 15, 1862, in Denton County. He had been a member of the of the Texas Cattle Raisers Association for many years and was associated in extensive cattle and ranching operations with the late J. B. Wilson of Dallas and with his brothers, J. L. Furneaux of Dallas and W. C. Furneaux of Carrollton.
Mr. Furneaux was educated at Southwestern University, Georgetown, and in England. In 1884 he married Miss Caroline Murphy, daughter of R. B. Murphy, a pioneer Texas ranchman. Besides his wife and two brothers, survivors are a son, William H. Furneaux; a sister, Mrs. Robert McFarland of Dallas and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Fred Furneaux, C. M. Furneaux, Earl Smith, Sidney F. Green, C. H. Jackson and Joe Morgan.  Burial will be at Cemetery Hill near Carrollton

FURNEAUX - Joseph Hamlyn, age 79, died at the residence 4653 Nakoma Drove Wednesday. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Carrie Furneaux; two brothers, W. C. and L. J.; one sister, Mrs. J. R. McFarland one son, William H. Furneaux; two grandchildren, all of Dallas. Services at the George A. Grewer Funeral Chapel 4 p.m. Friday. Dr. Umphrey Lee, Dr. Marshall Steel officiating. Interment Cemetery Hill, Carrollton, Texas. Pallbearers: Fred Furneaux, C. M. Furneaux, Earl Smith, Sidney Green, Charles H. Jackson, Joe Morgan.

OBITUARY

BROTHER OF LOCAL FARMER DIES AT HOME IN DALLAS

Funeral services for Joseph Hamlyn Furneaux, 79, brother of W. C. Furneaux and prominent Texas ranchman, were held Friday in the Brewer Funeral Home, Dallas.
Mr. Furneaux died at his home in Dallas Wednesday of last week. He had been a resident of Dallas since 1898<?>.
The services were conducted by Dr. Umphrey Lee of SMU and Dr. Marshall Steel, pastor of Highland Park Methodist church where Mr. Furneaux was a member.
His parents, William and Fannie Jackson Furneaux, moved from Devonshire, England, to Texas in 1856. Mr. Furneaux was born Sept 15, 1856 in Denton County. He had been a member of the Texas Cattle Raisers Association and was engaged in extensive cattle and ranching operations with the late J. R. Wilson of Dallas and his brothers, J. L. of Dallas and W. C. Furneaux.
