In Memory of Morris "Mo" Galloway
January 2, 1943 - February 18, 2015

Morris Dale Galloway, 72, of Granbury,Texas, left this life for eternal life through Jesus Christ on February 18, 2015.

Memorial services will be at Rhoton Funeral Home Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. Officiating will be Chaplain Bert Alexander with the Farmers Branch Fire Department. Inurnment at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.

Morris was born January 2, 1943, in Mission, Texas, the son of Orgie "Blackie" Galloway and Thelma Bobbitt Galloway. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby and Maxine, and a brother, Darrell.

Morris graduated from Carrollton High School in 1961. He enjoyed playing baseball and football while attending CHS. In 1961 he signed with the Chicago Cubs baseball team and played in their leagues until 1963, playing in Arizona and Tennessee as a catcher. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, stationed in Maine from 1963-1967. In September of 1967 he became a Fireman for Farmers Branch. He retired from the Farmers Branch Fire Department in 1998. He enjoyed the remainder of his life in De Cordova, Granbury, Texas, on a beautiful golf course and was an avid golfer, and loved by many.

Morris is survived by a daughter, Stefanie Cox; two grandsons, Nathan Cox and Jonathan Cox; his close friend, Linda Godley Marroquin; and his beloved Flip.
